BIO:
  • Don has been with the AYSC as a Competitive coach since 2005. He became the Club’s Goalkeeping coach at the start of 2013. In addition, for the past few years Don has applied his goalkeeping knowledge by doing in-game assessments for all of the Boys and Girls Competitive teams.
  • Don has an extensive soccer background as a coach, including Goalkeeper Coach for Brampton Soccer Club, Guelph Soccer Club, Bolton Soccer Club, Georgetown Soccer Club, Mississauga Falcon’s, Markham Soccer Club, Dixie Soccer Club, and Bryst Soccer Academy.  He was an Ontario Soccer Provincial Association Coach from 2007-2009 and a Durham Soccer Association Coach from 2010-2011.
  • Don has had an illustrious playing career highlighted by playing for Canada in the Olympics in 1984. He was also a member of the Canadian Men’s National Team from 1981-1990. Don had an extensive professional career playing for Hamilton Steelers (CPSL), Luton Town FC (England), Wrexham Football Club (England), Ottawa National Capital Pioneers/Intrepid (CSL), and the North York Rockets. At age 17, Don played in Portugal in that country’s National Soccer League.
