juneFestival2018

June Festival is our annual two day festival where all our House League teams come together to play soccer and enjoy the festivities. This year the festival will be held on Saturday June 9th and Sunday June 10th.

During the festival, each team will be having their photos taken at the Aurora Community Center (ACC), 1 Community Centre Lane, Aurora, ON L4G 7B1.  Please refer to the photo schedule and ensure you are there at least 10 minutes in advance of your scheduled time to ensure a smooth and timely process.

Please allow adequate time for parking !!!

We will have several vendors and sponsors circulating through the tournament, so please make a point of chatting with them and thanking them for their support! Make sure you also visit Peter's Meats at Sheppard's Bush and Magna where you can buy breakfas or lunch from their large selection of great food.

2018 June Festival Announcements & Updates

  • Expect to play soccer even if it is raining.
  • Game cancellations or delays will be made only if there are severe weather conditions such as lightning.
  • Even if your current game is cancelled, please make sure you show up to your next game to avoid defaulting the game.
  • Game results and Festival information will be updated throughout the day and will be posted by 8:30pm Saturday June 9th.

June Festival Scoring:

Teams are awarded points as follows:
Win  - 3 points
Tie   - 1 point
Loss - 0 points

At the end of the round robin play, the two teams that advance to the finals will be the teams with the most points.  If the teams are tied on points, the following additional criteria shall be used to determine the winner:

1) The winner of the game between the two teams that are tied (applies to 2-way ties only and applies only if those teams played in round robin)

2) Fewest goals against in round robin play

3) If still tied, then tied teams names will be placed in a hat, and one will be drawn to determine the finalist

Note that we are not using goal differential to break ties, as this encourages teams to run up the scoreboard, and this is not something we want to encourage in the house league program.
