June Festival Scoring and Tiebreak Rules (U13-14 & U15-18):

Teams are awarded points as follows:

Win  - 3 points

Tie   - 1 point
Loss - 0 points

At the end of the round robin play, the two teams that advance to the finals will be the teams with the most points.  If the teams are tied on points, the following additional criteria shall be used to determine the winner:

1) The winner of the game between the two teams that are tied (applies to 2-way ties only and applies only if those teams played in round robin)

2) Fewest goals against in round robin play

3) If still tied, then tied teams names will be placed in a hat, and one will be drawn to determine the finalist

Note that we are not using goal differential to break ties, as this encourages teams to run up the scoreboard, and this is not something we want to encourage in the house league program.
