Technical Director, Vito Colangelo

Technical Director, Vito Colangelo has a long and proud history with the AYSC. Vito was with the AYSC from 1996 to 2008, serving as Club Head Coach for six of those years. In addition, Vito has been coaching in college soccer for the past 18 years, spending last 12 years with Seneca College where he is currently the Head Coach for the Men's and Women's teams. The past 5 years has also seen Vito working as the Youth Academy Coach for our MLS team the TORONTO FC. In this role, Vito has played a part in 6 players getting promoted to the current TFC team.

Technical Assistant , Michael Aquino

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Canadian National "A" license with the Canadian Soccer Association
  • (ChPC) Chartered Professional Coach Designation from the Coaches of Canada organization.
  • Master's Degree in education from Charles Sturt University in Australia.

As a coach, Michael Aquino has served as a Technical Director at various clubs including Etobicoke Youth Soccer Club and most recently with the North York Cosmos Soccer Club. Michael also had the opportunity to serve as an Assistant Coach for Ryerson University in CIS and presently coaches with the Humber College Men's Soccer Program in OCAA. He has also worked with elite youth programs, coaching the U16 Boys 'Team OYSL' which participated in the Disney Showcase and with the York Region Soccer Association's District Development Program for six years as a District Coach. As a player, Michael was involved in Junior National Team Programs, received an athletic scholarship to the U.S. and played in the Canadian Soccer League for both the York Region Shooters and the Metro Lions Soccer Clubs. Lastly, Michael teaches Physical Health Education in the secondary school system in Toronto.
