
Aurora FC is pleased to introduce Michael Aquino as the new Head Coach of the Aurora FC League 1 Ontario men’s soccer team. Michael, a valued coach with the Stingers, has served in several roles with AFC including Assistant Technical Director and most recently as a Head Coach within our OPDL program.
Michael, is also the Head Coach of the Humber Hawks men’s soccer program where most recently, the team won the programs seventh CCAA National title in 2018 – its fifth national championship in seven years.
‘I'm very excited about the opportunity to lead the Aurora FC League 1O men’s team and look forward to the 2019 season. With the acquisition of League 1 by CSB and clear pathway for aspiring young players to be a part of CPL, it is an exciting time to be part of the growing soccer landscape in Ontario and Canada’, says Aquino.
Michael currently holds an 'A' License from the Canadian Soccer Association as well as a Chartered Professional Coach (ChPc) designation from the Coaches of Canada.

Joining Michael on staff will be Alessandro Sabatini as Associate coach, to assist with League 1. Alessandro is an Assistant coach with the Humber College Hawks and has served as a Technical Lead with several clubs (GTA) in creating player & coaching development programs. Don Ferguson will also join the staff as both Goalkeeper and U21 Lead Coach. A former professional goalkeeper, Don is an Assistant coach with the University of Guelph and has been coaching within AFC for several years. Both coaches bring licensing, experience and a wealth of knowledge to the program.
