U16 Girls T3 clinch first place in CGSL Level 4
and are Cup Finalists!
Congratulations to the U16 Girls Team 3, who have had an awesome season in CGSL Level 4 Division 3. They were crowned Division Champions a month before end of season which ended with 9 wins, 2 losses, and 1 tie. The team then followed that up with a great CGSL Cup run to finish runners-up with a loss to Oak Ridges in penalty shootouts. The remarkable thing about this is that the cup tournament encompassed teams from CGSL Level 4 Divisions 1,2 and 3. The Stingers turned away two Division 1 teams in their hunt for glory.
An impressive undefeated run through their own division only tells only part of the story. The Stingers were also tasked with playing up a division for six of their games and managed 3 wins and 1 tie against the higher competition. Last year was this team's first year playing competitively when they won the YRSL McGarrigle Cup at the end of the season.
