This clinic is for those who would like to become a certified referee and are 14 years of age (by March 31st, 2013) and older. By taking the clinic, a referee is automatically registered for the 2013 season with the OSA and does not have to register again until the following year.
Participants must complete the pre-course workbook on-line and bring a printed copy to the clinic.
Mini Referee Clinic
(Participants must be 12 & 13 years old)
Date: Sat, May 4, 2013 Time: 8:00 am-4:00 pm Cost $ 45Location: Highland Park Field ASC Clubhouse, 510 Industrial Pkwy S, Aurora
The intent of this clinic is to introduce officiating to participants who are 12 & 13 years old. If you are 14 years of age by March 31st, 2013, you will be too old to take the mini soccer referee clinic. If you took the mini clinic in 2013 as a 12 year old, you will have to take the mini clinic again in 2013. By retaking the course, a referee is automatically registered for the 2013 season with the OSA and gets an opportunity to refresh their refereeing skills.
The focus of this clinic is to be interactive, introductory and have the young referees understand the basic concepts of refereeing. They then need to apply this knowledge to officiating recreational mini soccer players in the ages of U8-U10.
Participants will receive a Mini Referee Student Handout and Program Guide & Rules when applying at the AYSC office. Please note that parents/guardians must attend at least 30 minutes of the course.
